Affiliates

An affiliate setup in an online poker system is a built-in partnership model where external promoters (affiliates) bring new players to your platform in exchange for a commission. This commission is usually based on rake generated, net revenue, or a fixed fee per player. The poker software tracks every player’s origin through affiliate IDs or referral links, ensuring accurate commission payouts.

How it works?

  1. Affiliate registration – Affiliates sign up and receive a unique referral code or link.

  2. Player acquisition – They promote the platform via ads, content, or networks, and players sign up using the affiliate’s link.

  3. Tracking – The system tags each player’s account with the affiliate ID and records all their activity (hands played, rake, deposits).

  4. Commission calculation – At set intervals (weekly/monthly), the system calculates the affiliate’s earnings, e.g., 30% of the rake from their referred players.

  5. Payout – The affiliate receives payment as per the agreed terms.

Why it’s important in online poker?

  • Scales player acquisition without heavy upfront marketing spend.

  • Performance-based – You pay affiliates only when they bring active, revenue-generating players.

  • Expands reach – Affiliates often tap into niche poker communities or regions you may not target directly.

  • Sustains liquidity – More referred players means fuller tables and better game variety, which attracts even more players.

This module is crucial for incentivising affiliates and ensuring they are rewarded appropriately for their contributions.
