Table Gifts
A table gift in online poker is a virtual item (like an emoji, animation, drink, rose, trophy, car, etc.) that players can send to each other during a game, usually for fun, bragging rights, or social interaction. These gifts cost real money or in-game currency, and the platform/admin earns the revenue from their purchase.
How Table Gifts Work?
Gift Store in the Game While at the poker table, players see a small “gift” icon. Clicking it opens a gift store with various items, each priced in chips, coins, or diamonds.
Player Selects a Gift The sender chooses a gift (e.g., a beer animation costing 50 coins) and selects the recipient player at the table.
Animation Plays Once sent, an animation or effect appears on the recipient’s avatar (e.g., a bouquet flying across the screen).
Coins are Deducted The gift price is deducted from the sender’s in-game wallet. The recipient does not receive coins — it’s purely for social interaction.
Admin Earns Revenue The coins or currency used to buy the gift are purchased by players via real-money payments. Since the gift has no cash-out value, 100% of the revenue stays with the platform.
Why Platforms Use Table Gifts?
Extra Revenue Stream: No impact on game mechanics, pure profit from virtual sales.
Increase Player Engagement: Adds fun, humor, and emotional connection to the table.
Encourage Spending Without Gambling Risk: Since gifts are non-cash items, they’re legal in many places where RMG is restricted.
Social Dynamics: Gifts can be used to tease, congratulate, or flirt, making the game more lively.
This module provides administrators with the tools to effectively manage and categorize gifts, enhancing the gaming experience for players by offering a variety of gift options within the system.
