Avatar
The Avatar Management module enables platform administrators to manage the visual avatars players use during gameplay. Avatars add a personalised, engaging layer to the gaming experience, and this section ensures efficient control over their availability and appearance.

Table Overview:
Column
Description
Name
Displays the name assigned to the avatar (e.g., “My Avatar”).
Avatar
Thumbnail preview of the uploaded avatar image.
Added By
Indicates whether the avatar was uploaded by a Player or an Admin. This helps in distinguishing system-generated avatars from user-submitted ones.
Actions
Two icons are available: Edit – Update avatar name or image. Delete – Remove the avatar from the platform.
Additional Functionalities:
Search Bar: Filter avatars using keywords (e.g., name or added by).
Entries Dropdown: Choose how many avatars to display per page (10/25/50).
Pagination Controls: Navigate between pages for large avatar libraries.
Sort Capability: Each column is sortable for more straightforward navigation.
Add New Avatar
This form allows the admin to manually upload and create a new avatar entry.
Field
Description
Avatar Name*
Required field to assign a display name to the avatar.
Image*
Required avatar image upload. Recommended specs: 512x512 pixels, 1:1 aspect ratio for uniform appearance across devices and interfaces.
Actions:
Choose File: Upload an image file (JPG/PNG formats).
Save: Finalise and save the avatar entry to the system.
Cancel: Exit the form without saving.
Edit Avatar (via Action Icon)
Clicking the edit icon next to any existing avatar opens a similar form to “Add Avatar”, pre-filled with existing data. The admin can:
Change the avatar name
Replace the current avatar image
Delete Avatar
Clicking the trash icon prompts a confirmation (not shown in the screenshot but assumed as best practice). Upon confirmation:
The avatar is permanently removed.
It will no longer be available for player use.
Avatar management in a poker game can significantly enhance player experience through both admin-provided and user-uploaded options. Admin-provided avatars ensure consistency and ease of use, while user-uploaded avatars offer personalisation and increased engagement.
